Effective bid writing

I work with bid managers and subject matter experts to present clear, well-structured responses that help persuade evaluators that you deserve the contract. I work with SMEs to develop proposals or edit author’s drafts to present well-written responses that are clear and consistent. I help structure responses, address ‘hot buttons’, promote ‘win themes’ and communicate often-complex arguments in a logical and convincing way. My project management experience is invaluable in working with different people to get results — often under considerable time pressure. My design expertise is sometimes called upon to ensure a visually pleasing and effective document.

Babcock International Group                                                                      

Bid writer on various separate MOD contracts (from £850m to £1.5bn), working with a team of other writers, liaising with subject matter experts and project managers, to deliver persuasive and compliant bids. Also responsible for the development of a writing style guide for Babcock. (Jul ­– Dec 2012)

Construction (Mansell Construction Services)                               

Producing commercially effective submission documents: researching, writing and editing content; management of information databases; providing marketing communications and PR. Also responsible for developing and implementing design/presentation improvements to marketing material and submissions, as well as writing corporate brochure and other material.
